I'm not adept at plein air painting, but I enjoy practicing at the Norway (Maine) Arts Festival every year in July.  Main Street is closed during the festival, so a painter can set up in the middle of the street.

Here's a photo of me painting the Western Maine Art Group's Main Street Gallery.  It's fun and often instructive to chat with passers-by while working.
